Leonore Goerman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMillan-Small Funeral Home & Crematory on Jun. 5, 2024.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Leonore (Lori) Goerman, who passed away on May 29th 2024 at the age of 81.
Born on January 5th 1943, in Germany, she grew up in the town of Idar-Oberstein.
She was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband Harlan H. Goerman Jr, and a devoted mother to her children Marlene T. Gorby of Vienna, OH, Jeffery J. Goerman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lynnette T. Minischetti of Reno, NV, and Erik G. Goerman of Hayes, VA. She is also survived by her sister Tanja Schummer-Kalicki of Baumholder Germany, her niece Jovanka Schlarb of Otterberg, Germany, her nephew Ingo Ulrich and his wife Elfi of Starkenberg, Germany as well as grandchildren Derek Baker of Beaver PA, Devin Baker of East Palestine OH, Ethan Goerman of Norfolk VA and a great grandson Noah Baker of East Palestine OH.
Leonore lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She loved the art of sales and used those talents in her employment as an insurance agent. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and her homemade dishes were always the highlight of family gatherings. She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. But her greatest love and joy in life was serving her Heavenly Father Jehovah God and sharing the wonderful good news about the hope of God's Kingdom for mankind. Leonore was a kind and generous person who always loved putting others' needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality. We love you mom and cannot wait till we see you again in paradise. (John 5:28,29).
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (4797 Postal Way, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579). The service will be through zoom, the meeting ID is 87986907856 and the password Heb10:2425.
