Leora Sullivan, 82, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving children.
Leora was born August 2, 1942 in Kentucky to the late Loles Denny and the late Thetta Virginia Hawkins.
She was also preceded in death by husband Donald Gene Sullivan, Sr.; brother, Berlon Denny; and granddaughter, Megan Hudson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, 7:00 pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107.
Lee was known for her love of life and her gift of giving. She was loved by so many for her ability to always make you feel like part of her family and to always feel right at home while visiting. She enjoyed gardening, being on the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Lee had so many special talents - cooking, baking, making quilts, sewing, making porcelain dolls, flower arrangements, decorating cakes, and cleaning like nobody’s business. She will be remembered for all her special talents as well as her smile and her big heart.
Survivors include daughters, Robyn (Kim) RoSser, Lori (Randy) Furr, Mary Beth (Jerry Wayne) Hudson; son, Butch (Amy) Sullivan; grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Kelsey Ahlgrim, Graham Allman, Joseph Furr, Randi Lee Lane, Kelli Albertson, Kiefer Hudson, Hannah Honaker; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Deatherage, Jan Combs, Joy Brooks, Kathy Havens; brothers, Hess Denny, Hisle Denny, Greg Denny, and Lane Denny.
