JONESBORO - Leota Viola Bradsher Wren, 86, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025. She was born in Trumann, in 1938, to Arthur and Elma Bradsher.
She graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis and served as a Certified Operating Room Nurse in the Methodist Health System for almost her entire 40-year nursing career. She was very proud of her service as a Registered Nurse, serving in multiple leadership positions and helping facilitate the development of young nurses through mentorship and education opportunities. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and traveling, and was an avid pottery and glass collector with her husband, James.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Wren, at which time they had been married 56 years; her sister, Lucille Willis; and her brother, Charles Bradsher.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Harris (Thom); her granddaughter Brittany Parcel (Jeff); her step-grandson Max Harris (Renee); great-grandchildren, Chloe, Garrett, Baby James Parcel, River and Rowan Harris, all of Texas; special niece, Marcie Ramsey, great-nieces Christy, Carleen Sheets, Arlene Smith; and nephew Alex Bradsher who all have been instrumental in helping Leota navigate daily activities and visits. She remained very close with sister Johnnie Riddle (Dennis) of Memphis, and brother-in-law W. A. Wren (Melba) and Sherry Felts (Benton) of Joiner, and nieces Laura Sims, Russell Wren (Michelle), Lana Bell (Mark), and a host of other relatives and special friends Mary Nutt, Paul and Sheila Harrison, and Reta Daugherty.
She was an active member of Lawson Road Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Lawson Road Church of Christ, 879 County Road 407, Jonesboro, Ark., 72404.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Brother Chandler Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
