Leroy Bailey, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 23, 2023, in Westlake, Ohio. He was born on June 17, 1931, in Lorado, West Virginia to the late Goldie (nee Toler) and Kelly Bailey.
Leroy is reunited with his cherished wife, Judy M. Bailey. Their love and devotion to eachother was truly an inspiration to all who knew them. They shared many years of love and companionship together.
Leroy's family meant the world to him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried on by his children Bryan Bailey (Candice) and Tamara Bednarski (Tony). Leroy also had the joy of being a loving grandfather to Shannon, Kristin, Carmella, Tara, and ten great-grandchildren whom he adored dearly. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Lou Johnston and Vodis Cooke.
In addition to his wife and parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his two brothers and one sister.
Leroy was a man of simple pleasures and a strong work ethic. He took pride in his family and cherished the time he spent with them. Leroy was admired for his easy going personality and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
In his free time, Leroy enjoyed watching sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. He loved his chewing tobacco and found joy in the excitement of playing some good ole lottery tickets.
He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
