LeRoy Blyther, born on April 25, 1957, in Bishopville, South Carolina, peacefully departed this life on Monday, October 27, 2025. He was a beloved son of the late Charles Henry Blyther and Abigail Louise Montgomery.
LeRoy lived a life full of love for his family and generosity toward others, no matter who they were. Never one to sit still for long, he enjoyed working, being of service to others, and spending his time bowling, photographing, and fishing. LeRoy attended James E. Shepherd High School in Zebulon, North Carolina, where he was known for his quiet spirit and sharp intellect. He was so gifted that he was able to skip the eighth grade and matriculate directly into high school through Wake Technical Institute, where he earned his high school diploma by scoring one of the highest marks in the school's history during the 1970s.
He later worked at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, in the Radiology Department and went on to serve seven honorable years in the United ghStates Army as a Fireman and Medical Specialist. His dedication and service earned him several awards and honors, including:

LeRoy came from a large and loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Charles Henry Blyther and Louise Abigail Montgomery; two sisters, the late Sheila Blyther of Zebulon, NC, and the late Jessie Mae (George) Woodfaulk of Raleigh, NC; and two brothers, the late Charles Ernest Blyther of Bishopville, SC, and the late Curtis Blyther of Raleigh, NC.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his sister, Mary Watkins of Bailey, NC; brothers Charles Blyther of Raleigh, NC; Christopher Blyther of Wake Forest, NC; Harvey Blyther (Marie) of Zebulon, NC; John Blyther of Rocky Mount, NC; Reggie Blyther of Raleigh, NC; Ricky (Pamela) Blyther of Selma, NC; and Wheeler Blyther of Raleigh, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
LeRoy's compassionate heart and unwavering devotion to his family will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembere
