Leroy Cherry

Leroy Cherry, age 70, of 2255 Snow Road, Anderson, SC entered into rest at his home on Friday, November 10, 2023.
He was a native of Anderson County and was born July 29, 1953 to the late Hampton Cherry and Argie Lee Williams Cherry.
He was employed for over 15 years at Robert Tramell Construction and later retired and started his own electrician business, which he loved doing.
He was a family man and loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed the outdoors and working on things and was always hands on.
He leaves to mourn his passing his 12 children, 6 daughters: Tepeka Williams Cherry, Shameka Freeman, Brooke Cherry, Tayor Curtis, Lashetha Cherry, and Makayla Cherry; 6 sons: Tywon Smith, Tramel Cherry, Lathaniel Cherry, Jeremy Cherry, Cameron Overholt, and Isaiah Cherry; 29 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; his sisters, Sara Cherry, Margret Mattress, and Jessie Pulliam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers: Henry, Charles, MC, Marvin and Hampton and 1 sister, Mary Cherry.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Leroy Cherry touched during his life's journey are invited to celebrate his life on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with the interment to follow at the M.J. ''Dolly'' Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC.
The public visitation will be Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 1:00 p until 6:00 pm at the mortuary.
