Leroy Roy Foster Jr, age 92, formally of Bloomer, passed away at Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center in Mankato MN. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Monmouth, Maine to Leroy and Madoyln (Proctor) Foster. He served his country in US Army and worked as a Tech Engineer for Sprint. He was predeceased by his three wives; Betty Jo Hadley, Vivian Wakefield and Irene Slayton. Roy loved the outdoors. He like to fish, hunt, camp and travel. His favorite thing was to go out to eat to spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Tim (Sue)Foster, Pam (Sven) Rodenbeck, Bonnie Foster, Lori Foster, Debbie (Chris)Brinkman, Pam (Steve) Hebert, Darla (Pat) Flynn, David Slayton; Siblings: Robert Foster, Marjorie (Richard) Foster; grandchildren: Katie Foster, Keegan Foster, Asiah Smith, Brayden Brinkman, Kody Foster, Emersyn Brinkman, Erin (Thomas) Carroll, Megan ( Joshua)Marson, Erika Rodenbeck, Johanna Rodenbeck and multiple step grandchildren; great-grandchildren: Oliver Foster, Rowen Walker, Jackson Carroll, Baby Smith due in October and multiple great step grandchildren, other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wives; sisters: Eleanor Hill, Phyllis Hill, Ruth Bragg
step-daughter: Patricia Slayton
Funeral Services will be held at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Catherine s Cemetery with military honors by the Bloomer American Legion/VFW/AMVETS.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to the Bloomer American Legion/VFW.
