LeRoy Don Lundy passed away on October 13, 2025, at home in Arapaho, Oklahoma.
He was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on July 29, 1954, the son of Loyd Lundy and Ruth (Kaiser) Lundy. In his earlier years, LeRoy participated in football and wrestling, qualified for State in wrestling his senior year in high school, and graduated from Cordell High in 1972.
LeRoy joined the United States Air Force in 1972. While enlisted, he was stationed in Thailand. Then upon his return home, he was honorably discharged. Proving himself as a "jack of all trades," Leroy worked in the oil field, carpentry, and as a heavy equipment operator in his prime.
Most notably, LeRoy married the love of his life, Cindy (Adams) Lundy, on June 2, 1979, and they had two children, Jason and Tamara.
Anyone who knew LeRoy knows he told Dad jokes before they were even cool, and his deep, slow laugh at his own jokes made them even funnier. That along with his epic story-telling skills ("Jack of all trades," remember?) resulted in the spread of joy wherever LeRoy went. It is no wonder why he had so many friends. You also couldn't find a bigger sports fan than LeRoy. However, he was so much more than a sports fanatic. LeRoy loved reading good books, listening to music, cooking, eating Braum's ice cream, and spending time with his family-especially his children and grandson (Caleb). LeRoy was an amazing grandfather. There is no doubt he loved his grandson so much and cherished every bit of time they spent together. Despite his battle with cancer, Leroy's final years were filled with so many fond moments surrounded by family and friends.
LeRoy was predeceased by his parents, his wife Cindy, his brother Larry Lundy, and his step-sister Brenda Holman Messenger.
He is survived by his son Jason and grandson Caleb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Tamara and her partner Michael Earling of Arapaho, Oklahoma; brother Gary Lundy and his wife Traci of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Randy Lundy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Ronnie Lundy of Cordell, Oklahoma; step-brother Scott Holman of Clinton, Oklahoma; step-brother Larry Dawson and his wife Jeri of Moore, Oklahoma; step-brother Randy Holman and his wife Gretchen; step-mother Laverne Lundy of Cordell, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
