Betty Jo Lundy, 86, of Bart Twp., entered into rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Born in Peach Bottom, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Nora Elizabeth (Weaver) Brown. She celebrated 70 years of marriage to Robert E. Lundy on September 10.
Betty retired from housekeeping at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community after several years of employment. She was known for her vibrant personality and enjoyed playing cards, scrabble, spending time with her grandchildren, seasonal decorating, and rooster collectibles.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Patty, wife of Wilson Saunders; 6 grandchildren: Amanda Johnson, Kim Takacs, Keri Brion, Lance Lundy, Destiney Lundy, Cole Lundy; and great grandchildren, Connor and Curtis Johnson. Also surviving are siblings: Janet Dooling, Jean Kilgus, Nancy Johnson, Caroline Brown, and Rusty Brown. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Lundy, husband of Lori Morrow; and a daughter, Crystal, wife of Wayne Brion; and siblings: Chester, Hazel, Doris, Pauline, and Shirley.
A service celebrating Betty's life will take place at Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1199 Valley Rd., Quarryville, PA on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church at P.O. Box 68, Bart, PA 17503.
