MANCHESTER, Ohio - LeRoy Mingee, Sr. 88, of Germantown passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley, OH.
LeRoy was born in Tollesboro on Aug. 31, 1935, son of the late Leander & Beatrice Rudd Mingee.
He was a retired employee of the Adams County School District as a custodian and school bus driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and enjoyed playing music with his band "Billy Woods and the Down Beats".
LeRoy was an avid card player and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rowena Sue Gulley Mingee; six children, Kathy Ann Bradford, LeRoy (Angie) Mingee, Jr., Tamatha (Jerry) Stricklett, Becky (Bryon) Bates, Darrin (Leslie) Mingee, John Wesley (Heather) Mingee; Seventeen grandchildren, David, Dustin, Austin, Michelle, Adam, Ricky, Aaron, Scottie, Ashley, Justin, Sarah, Derek, Dillon, Hunter, Devon, Madison, and Makayla; and many great-grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Ricky Mingee; two grandsons Trent Bradford and Michael Mingee.
A Celebration of Life for LeRoy Mingee, Sr. will be at LeRoy Mingee, Jr.'s residence at 2420 Eagle Creek Road, West Union, OH 45693, Saturday, March 2nd, at 12 p.m.
