Leroy Rouse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, L.L.C. - Flint on Mar. 4, 2026.
Leroy Francis Rouse of Flint, Michigan was born on June 3, 1947, and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Funeral service will be held 1pm, Friday March 6, 2026 at Flint First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Road, Flint, MI. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Chad Amoss officiating. Visitation will take place from 11am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his wife.

Leroy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. In years past he had a passion for NASCAR and working on cars. More recently he loved helping people in and around his neighborhood, whether it was mowing lawns, walking their trash cans back to their house on collection day, working on their cars, anything he could do to help a fellow human being, he didn't care what their story was he was just there to help. He also enjoyed walking his dogs, spending time outdoors to include maintaining a city park that he and his wife adopted. However, his happy place was simply spending time with his best friend, his wife.

He dedicated over 20 years of hard work and service to General Motors Fisher Body, where he built not only a career but lasting friendships. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.

Leroy is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Rouse; his daughter, Janie Loll and her husband Tim Loll; his son, Brian Rouse; and his cherished grandchildren, Aaron Ross and Jacob Ross. His brothers, Dennis Rouse and his wife Jacque, and Dale Rouse and his wife Paula. Including step daughter Donna Latimer and stepson Matthew Latimer, mother-in-law Donna Alcorn, brothers-in-law, Gerald, Douglas, Patrick and his wife Serene, Michael (deceased) Christian Alcorn, and sister-in-law Lisa Alcorn; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Rouse; his mother, Eva Rouse; and his brother, Tom Rouse.

Leroy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. However, his memory will live on in the hearts of family, friends and acquaintances, he was the kind of man that truly made the world a better place for everyone he met.
