LeRoy Shelton Obituary

Long Beach, Mississippi - LeRoy Leon Shelton, born September 22, 1938 in Sedro Woolley, WA. Passed October 5, 2025 in Long Beach, Mississippi.

He was born and raised in Sedro Woolley by his parents Joseph and Mildred Shelton. He joined his older brother, Duane.

He attended Sedro Woolley Schools and graduated with the class of 1956. He was proud of being a freshman and the youngest of 11 wrestlers to earn the State Title in 1953. He also placed second in the 1954 State Championship as a sophomore. A hunting accident that same year that almost cost him his leg ended his wrestling career. Thanks to Dr. Robert Hunter he was able to keep his leg to the end of his life.

After graduation, LeRoy moved to Renton starting work for the Boeing Company for many years. In the late 1970's he was part owner of a shake mill near Big Rock. He finished his working career performing Inspections for Oil Pipelines throughout the Northwest.

LeRoy enjoyed camping, hunting, trapping and fishing throughout his life.

He is survived by his Significant Other, Toni Chirinos; Daughters, Cheryl Good (Dean) Barbara Shelton; Grandchildren, Seanene, Tyler, Cody and 4 Great Grandchildren.
