Les McDonald, Jr., passed away at Houston Hospice on September 25, 2025, at age eighty-one. He is remembered for his passion for realistic watercolor art, commitment to teaching, and love of fishing and hunting.
A funeral mass will take place at Saint Michael the Archangel Church in Houston, Texas on October 10, 2025. The rosary will begin at 9:30 am followed by the mass at 10:00 am. After the service, attendees may join the family for a reception in the church Parish Life Center. A more detailed obituary and condolences may be offered at www.millerfuneral.com

Les McDonald was wonderful painter, of wildlife and seascapes especially. He shared his knowledge of color and technique generously in class at the Watercolor Art Society Houston. He advised and helped students individually with exceptional patience. He will be missed.

Les was a lovely man, a wonderful artist, and a dedicated teacher. I always enjoyed seeing him at WAS-H. My condolences to Dianne, his family, his admirers and his friends.
