Lesa Kay Baker, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024, in Elkhart, Indiana, at the age of 59. Born on August 7, 1965, in
Niles, Michigan, to the late Walter and Karen (Kuball) Klimczak, Lesa's warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.
Lesa spent her working years in various factories, dedicating her skills to crafting airplane parts with precision and care. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her family and friends. Lesa's nurturing spirit was the cornerstone of her home, where she was known for her exceptional cooking. Her meatloaf and biscuits and gravy were not just meals but expressions of love for her daughters, Heather (Buddy) Luhrsen and Stephanie (Eric) White.
A loving sister to Joey Luhrsen, Lesa's bond with her brother was a testament to the strength and love within their family. Her five grandchildren, Eric, Kalliyan, Kalayah, Kacen, and Jayden, were the lights of her life, and she delighted in spoiling them with affection and the occasional treat that their parents might have denied them. Lesa's love extended to her aunts, cousins, and her adored cat Izzy, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Lesa's zest for life was evident in her hobbies. An avid shopper, she found joy in the simple pleasure of finding the perfect item, whether for herself or as a gift for someone she loved. Her giving nature was unmistakable, and she was always ready to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need.
Her home was a haven of warmth, where the aroma of her cooking welcomed friends and family alike. Lesa's legacy is one of selflessness and care, and she will be remembered for the countless meals shared, stories told, and memories created around her kitchen table.
As we say goodbye to Lesa Kay Baker, we celebrate a life lived with an open heart and open arms. She was a beacon of love and kindness, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Lesa's spirit will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the cherished recipes she passed down, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity.
