Lesley Nacole Hart-Davis, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, at the age of 41.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Hart; grandparents, Oscar Hart, Bonnie Smith, and Frank W. Smith; and her beloved son, Thomas Davis.

Lesley is survived by her devoted husband of 18 years, Matthew Davis; her beloved daughters, Emma (16) and Evie (10); her mother, Brenda Hart; her sisters, Tiffany Hart Goolsby (John Henry Goolsby) and Megan Grandison; her parents-in-law, Anne and Mitch Davis; her sister-in-law, Sarah Coxwell (Cary Coxwell); brothers-in laws, Jacob Davis (Seri Davis) and Andrew Davis; and Nicole Arnold, a cherished family friend. She is also lovingly remembered by many dear friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A gifted and generous soul, Lesley was a passionate and innovative educator who deeply loved her students. She had a gift for helping struggling students, whether it be academically or emotionally. She helped all kids find joy in learning. Often parents would tell her that their children were finally loving school because of her. Lesley's classrooms were known for excellence in the fundamentals, the "3 R's", as well as for being vibrant, encouraging spaces fueled by her creativity and care. She was a leader in integrating technology into the classroom and was often the go-to resource for her fellow teachers.

Lesley began her teaching career at Leeds Elementary School, later teaching for many years at Fairhope West Elementary School. After a brief tenure at Florence Mathis Elementary, she was joyfully preparing to begin a new chapter at Huxford Elementary in Escambia County.

Beyond her career, Lesley treasured time with her family. She loved camping, beach trips, and exploring new and interesting places with those she held dear.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, on Saturday, August 9, 2025. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends from 3PM-5PM, with the service to begin at 5PM. with Rev. Jim Fillingim officiating.
