Leslie Ann Brazley

Leslie Ann (Dédé) Brazley departed this life on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the age of 62. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, La. She was born to the union of the late Ronald Dédé, Sr., and Alfreda Dédé on December 25, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was educated in the New Orleans Public School System and ventured into a career in the Hospitality Industry.
Leslie shared her life with her siblings; two (2) sisters and three (3) brothers. She was a loving devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, neighbor, and friend. She was always willing to help in any way she could. Her one and only child, Laisha Thomas was the light of her life.
On July 29, 1995, Leslie married Herbert (Duggie) Brazley. With this union, their families united and together they shared their love for Laisha Thomas, and Jamar Brazley. She now had two children that would light up her life. Together they created many lasting memories.
Leslie loved and enjoyed being in the company of family and friends. She was very hospitable and gracious and welcomed everyone into her home. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, party planning, playing casino slot, cards with her (Canadian coins), and sitting in her yard enjoying her music. Her greatest gifts she shared was the gift of faith and her love for God. She accepted Christ at the early age of (5) five, and attended St Raymond Catholic Church, now St. Raymond St. Leo the Great Church.
Leslie was a hard worker. She was the co-owner of Les/Jan Décor. She also worked for the Hotel Monteleone, Southern Yacht Club, and Loews New Orleans Hotel.
Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Dédé, Sr., Alfreda Dédé, and two (2) brothers, Ronald Dédé, Jr., and Vincent Dédé. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, her loving and devoted family. She is survived by her husband, Herbert (Duggie) Brazley, daughter, Laisha Thomas (Joseph), son, Jamar Brazley (Tiera), one (1) brother, Jerome Dédé, two (2) sisters, Rosalind Joseph, and Meredith Williams and her devoted friends, Janice Joseph and Sylvester Thomas. Leslie leaves to cherish her memory, her aunt Brenda, (Roy, Jr.), godchildren Ronald Romes and Lynette Renard, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and close friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 10:00AM, at St. Leo/St. Raymond Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Ave, NOLA. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour of service. Interment Providence Memorial Park, Metairie, LA.
