Leslie James Hart, 84, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Melbourne,FL. He was born on July 2, 1941, in New Haven, CT, to Leslie A. Hart and KatherineD. Hart (Kobak).

Les led a life marked by love, family, faith, travel, intellectual curiosity, professional excellence, and a deep appreciation for history and the great outdoors. Les pursued his academic passions with distinction, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. He later obtained his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk Law School in Boston, MA-an achievement that would shape his distinguished career. He served as the General Counsel for the Harris Semiconductor Division until 1999 and then became the Vice President of Intellectual Property for Harris Corporation. After retirement, Les and his wife, Bobbi, relocated to South Carolina for several years, and then returned to Melbourne, FL three years ago.

Les is lovingly remembered by his wife, Bobbi Marion Hart; his son Gregg Hart and daughter-in-law Robin; his daughter Liz Matson and son-in-law Chuck; his grandchildren Ryan and Tristan Hart, and Grace and Will Matson; his brother Phillip Hart and sister-in-law Sharon; and his sisters Kathleen (Arthur, late) Oltmann and Patricia (Richard, late) Cannata. He was predeceased by his parents and by his brothers Lawrence B. Hart and Robert E. (Joanne, late) Hart.

Les leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, warmth, and wit that will be cherished by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.

Family and Friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, November 8th,2025, at 10:30 AM at Ascension Catholic Church (2950 N Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, 32935). A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.

To send flowers for the funeral, please deliver to Ascension Catholic Church on Saturday, November 8th by 9:00 AM.
