It is with great sadness that the family of Sally McAllister announces her passing on October 7, 2025. Sally was born on October 27, 1939, in Canton, PA, to Carl and Ida Lovejoy. She was raised in Sea Isle City, NJ, and lived a life filled with love, joy, and countless memories.
Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert McAllister, in April 2010. Together, they enjoyed many years of happiness, often fishing off the coast of New Jersey on their cherished boat, the "Uncle Bob." She was also predeceased by her stepdaughter, Robin Burger.
She is survived by her children, David Wilsey (Caroline) of Viera, Florida; Dianne Wilsey of Melbourne, Florida; and Douglas Wilsey of Satellite Beach, Florida. Sally is also survived by her stepdaughter, Cathy Bogucki (Joseph) of Frankford, WV; and stepsons, Robert McAllister (Beth) of Weymouth, NJ, and Michael McAllister (Veronica) of Matthews, NC.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Sally Wilsey, Kirk and Jake Burger, Robbie and Ariel McAllister, Ashlie Hincapie, Jackson and Emerson McAllister, as well as her great-grandchildren.
Sally is also survived by her brother, Jim Lovejoy (Betsy) of Cary, NC, and their children: Sally Reynolds, Jim Lovejoy, and Susie Lovejoy.
In her professional life, Sally started as a secretary. After raising her three children she returned to the office first as receptionist, then later as legal secretary and finally as the office manager for the Law Offices of McAllister, Hyberg, White, and Mann in Northfield, NJ. She retired in 2012 after many dedicated years of service.
Sally was full of life and radiated warmth and grace, approaching each day with a calm and gentle demeanor. A lover of the sea, she had a deep passion for cruising and had the privilege of exploring many parts of the world. But her heart truly belonged to the beach, where she found peace and joy.
In 2012, Sally moved to Satellite Beach, FL, where she became an active member of the community. She volunteered with the Satellite Police Department and was especially passionate about and active with the "Stop-By-and-Say-Hi" program, where she developed lasting bonds with fellow volunteers and relished bringing smiles, joy and aid to the many homebound residents of her community that she visited.
Sally will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity of spirit, and her love of family and friends. Her presence in the lives of those who knew her will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
A Memorial service will be held at Harbour House Oceanfront, 1901 Jimmy Buffett Mem Hwy, Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937 on Nov 9th, 2025 at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sally's memory to the
