Leslie Shrader, age 75, resident of Rock Spring, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Mr. Shrader, son of the late William Bedford Shrader and Arnest Hicks Shrader, was born November 5, 1949 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a veteran serving his country honorably in the United State Marine Corp. Mr. Shrader was an active member of Peavine Baptist Church of Rock Spring, Georgia. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog fan. Mr. Shrader enjoyed keeping his yard up; going to flea markets; meeting friends at restaurants; and spending time with his grandkids. While at home, many would see him piddling around the house; watching classic western movies and shows; watching professional wrestling; and listening to Southern Gospel music. The family remembers him as a strong Christian man who was always a protector of his family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bernita Shrader. Mr. Shrader is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jackie Shrader; daughter, Jaime (Jeremy) Godfrey; son , Lance (Holly) Shrader; brother, Larry (Deborah) Shrader; grandchildren, Jude Godfrey, Journey Godfrey, Josseta Godfrey, Gracie Shrader, and Cameron Dale; many other nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Jeremy Elam officiating. Inurnment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Peavine Baptist Church, 1089 Peavine Road, Rock Spring, Georgia 30739. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
