Leslie Blake Stephens, 65
“Do you remember Leslie? Well, she's dead.” -Leslie Stephens
Leslie Stephens passed from this world on December 18, 2025 surrounded by good stories and bad jokes. Those who knew and loved Leslie will remember fondly her penchant for tongue-in-cheek humor, love of estate sales and fierce independence.
Leslie was born in Madison, WI on November 6, 1960 to Bradley and Patricia Blake. Her family moved to Las Cruces, NM, where she finished growing up, in 1966. Leslie was married to Richard Stephens for 42 pretty good years and with him had two children, Jason and Rachel. Known for her puncraft, Leslie loved to laugh and bring laughter to others. Her greatest love was for her family and she dedicated herself to looking after them.
Leslie is preceded in death by her parents Bradley and Patricia, her husband Richard and her granddaughter Samatha (Rachel). She is survived by her children, Jason (Desiree) and Rachel (Brian), her sisters Laurie (Tom) and Elinore, brother Samuel (Jenny), four grandchildren; Andrea, Erin, Alexander and Dylan, and ten nieces and nephews.
