Leslie Walden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services from Nov. 20 to Nov. 27, 2025.
Leslie Lynn Walden, 76, of Otterbein, IN, passed away at her home on November 17, 2025. She was born on March 30, 1949, in Erie, PA. Leslie lived a generous life focused on helping others. She worked as a driver for UPS for 40 years, retiring this past January, and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 710.

Leslie showed horses and dogs in competitions across the United States. She owned Walden Kennels, specializing in Akitas and Argentinian Dogo, and was a former member of the Lafayette Kennel Club and the United States Dressage Federation. Over the years, she cared for many dogs and cats and owned three horses. She enjoyed reading, going out to eat, and spending time with her church family at Star City Church in Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margery and Leslie Walden. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Stradtman of Ohio, and her brother, Jeffrey Keith Walden of Utah.

For many years, Leslie sponsored two children through India Partners-Kiksu Tanus and Mehek Shaikh-who were especially important to her. In lieu of flowers, she requested that memorial contributions be directed to their continued support.

Leslie was surrounded by caring friends. She leaves behind her beloved dogs, Wolfie and Bannon, and her cherished cat, Chandler. She entrusted their care to dear friends Kim Delaney and Connie Harth, a reflection of the trust and friendship she shared with them.

A service to celebrate the life of Leslie will take place at Star City Church 201 Veteran's Memorial Parkway E. Lafayette In 47905 on Wednesday December 10, 2025 at 7pm with a small meal provided right after the service.
