LESLIE'S LIFE & LEGACY
Leslie was a bright and beautiful soul who was born on September 15, 1971 at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. A vibrant and loving daughter, she is survived by her parents, Ianthia (Kathy) Washington Williams and Quindell Washington. Leslie was an unforgettable spirit whose light shined brightly in every room she entered.
She was deeply committed to her faith and was baptized at the age of 5 by the Late Reverend Sidney D. Williams at the Asbury Methodist Church of White Castle, Louisiana. She was known for her warm spirit and unwavering kindness.
Leslie received her education in the parish of Iberville and graduated from White Castle High School on May 19, 1989 and furthered her education at The Southern University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and held a double Master's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and the other in Public Administration with a double concentration in Health Care Management and Public Policy. She was employed by the Louisiana Workforce Commission for 2-1/2 years as an
ORS Specialist 2. Her job duties positioned her to be a public servant as she was charged with identifying the needs of customers and escalating the various issues to her supervisors.
Leslie touched the lives of everyone she met. Her legacy of love, compassion, and faith will continue to inspire her loving mother, Ianthia (Kathy) Washington Williams and father, Quindell Washington; a loving companion, Christopher Bizzard; Children in Love, Jansom Jones, Erica Jones, Brayden M. Davis, Dash H. Osborne, Jaxon Allen, Kayloni Bizzard, Jaden Bratten, Tailyn Bell, Quinn Thomas, Ariel Bell and Auzi Bell; Godchildren, Amos Foster, Jr., Bryant Jones, Jr., Cheremy Williams, Delicia Landry, Jayge Jones, Jayde Jones, Ashanti Bratten and Esmai' (Tootie) Lewis; Aunts, Mary Louise Paten, Patty Jones, Marion Jones (Charles), Barbara Ann Jones, Houston, TX, Brenda Lott, Ida Washington, and Cheryl Jones; Uncles, Vernon Jones (Lillie), Gladwyn Jones (Eddie), Columbus GA, Wardell Davis (Terrall), Atlanta GA, Michael
Troy Elzy, Baton Rouge, LA and Reginald Jones, Plaquemine, LA; Godmother, Lucy Moses; a special friend, Barbara Batiste; and a host of cousins, friends and all who knew her.
Leslie is preceded in death by her beloved puppy, Sassie Washington; maternal grandparents, (Martha and Ernest Jones, Sr.), Paternal, Ida and Blanchard Washington Sr.; stepfather, Gerald L. Williams, 7 aunts and 11 uncles. Rest in peace dear Leslie. Your radiance and love will forever echo in our hearts.
