Lester Daniel Bashore

Lester Daniel Bashore Sr., 75, of Myerstown, PA, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Lester was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Susan Shoemaker.
Born in Lebanon, PA on June 12, 1950, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Waxwood) Bashore.
A 1969 graduate of Tulpehocken High School, he earned his Associate's Degree in Carpentry from Williamsport Area Community College in 1971. Lester volunteered as a Forrest Fire Warden for District 18. Volunteering with the Bethel Fire Company and their Forest Fire Crew was important to him. He was also a member of Northwestern Berks Rod and Gun Club and Camp Romar. Lester loved being in the woods. He spent a great deal of time camping, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and building/remodeling projects.
He is survived by daughters, BethAnn Stuck-Moats, of Myerstown; Crystal, wife of Corey Leedom, of Myerstown; son, Lester Bashore, Jr., of Bethel; grandchildren, Rebecca, William, Charles, Amber, Melanie, and Zachary; sister, Wendy, wife of Robert Lingle, of Strausstown; and nieces, Dorinda and Dana.
Services and inurnment will be private. A Celebration of Life, for family and friends, will be held on Saturday April 4th at the Little Swatara Church of the Brethren in Rehrersburg at 11:00 am.
