Lester Francis Childs Jr., 73, of Hyannis, Massachusetts, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, owner and operator of his own electrical business in Hyannis for 20 years before his retirement in 1991, died at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community Pavilion in Hyannis on Wednesday, October 18, 2000, following a long illness. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2000, 10 a.m., at Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville, Massachusetts. Donations in his memory may be made to Federated Church Endowment Fund, Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. Arrangements entrusted to Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, Hyannis.
