Lester S. Fuller, toy maker

FILLMORE - Lester S. Fuller, of 10138 Dutch Hill Annex, went home to be with the Lord on Monday (Sept. 30, 2024) in his home.

He was born on March 16, 1950, in Springville, a son of the late George and Ruth Martin Fuller. On Sept. 1, 2001, he married Cynthia O'Bryan, who survives.

Lester was a lifetime woodworker, enjoyed making a variety of wooden toys and attending numerous craft shows. He could often be found working in his shop or doing one of his DIY projects. He enjoyed watching western movies and especially enjoyed John Wayne westerns.

Lester enjoyed all things nature and could be found bird watching, taking care of his chickens, dogs and cats. He attended Hume Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Lester Lee (Ann) Fuller of Arcade and Wayne (Donna) Fuller of Fillmore; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three stepchildren, Jennie (Benny) Fields of North Carolina, James "Jody" (Lisa) Buckley of Horseheads and Jessica Gonzalez of North Carolina; a brother, Rod Fuller of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Lee Cannioto in 2023; and three sisters, Mary Fuller, Lucy Vergith and Ann Sullivan.

Family and friends may gather from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday (Oct. 4, 2024) at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Rev. Rick Roberts, Allegany County hospice pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Old Field Cemetery, Route 414, Hornby.
