Lester Lee Leitholt

Lester Lee Leitholt, 77, of Spokane, passed away on September 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 25, 1947, in Miles City, Montana, Lester was the eldest of seven children to Paul and Jean Leitholt. The family later moved to Butte, MT, where Lester graduated high school in 1966.

Lester dedicated more than 40 years of his life to working as a caregiver for developmentally disabled adults at Lakeland Village before he retired in 2014.

For 45 years, Lester was a devoted husband to his wife, Deborah. Together they raised two daughters and he later found great joy in being Grandpa to three beloved granddaughters.

Family adventures were among Lester's happiest times. Every summer, he looked forward to camping trips at Round Lake State Park in Idaho, where he proudly served as "Camp Boss" and chief fire maker. His love of the outdoors, paired with his trademark bad jokes, made those trips full of laughter and lasting memories.

Lester's faith was the foundation of his life. An active member of his church until health issues interfered, he took his walk with God seriously and sought to live out his beliefs with integrity and grace.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his daughters, Kristina (Jacob) Chapel and Kimberly Clifton; his three granddaughters, Val and Kye Clifton and Annaleigh Chapel; and his six siblings: Linda (Frank) White, Paula Greaves, Paul (Dolly) Leitholt, Donna Taylor, John Leitholt, and Brenda Schwab. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on October 18, 2025, at Family of Faith Community Church in Spokane. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Epilepsy Foundation in Lester's honor.
