Lester Rafalli Obituary
Born in Hazleton, PA. on November 15, 1945, he was the son of the late Carmen and Verna (Simshock) Rafaili.
Surviving are his daughter, Leslie Gilllis, his granddaughters, Grace and Gabriella Gillis, and his life partner, Paulette Pyck all of Myrtle Beach SC; brother, Eugene and wife, Pam of Hazle Township, PA, sisters-in-law, Eleanor Rafalli, Donna Kee!er and Betty Keeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol (Keeler) in 2006, his brothers, Vincent and Carmen and sister, Donna Guscott.
Lester attended Hazleton Senior High School class of 1963 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966 and proudly served until 1972. He was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton and a member of Hazleton Elks Lodge #200. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football teams.
Lester had a quick wit, a generous heart and a knack for making everyone laugh leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. He was known for his big personality and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He was especially known for his generosity and his encompassing love of family.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Hazleton,PA on a future date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lester's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Wounded Warrior program or a charity of one's choice.

Lester was a good friend , great man and patriot. He was a regular at our Dunkin Donuts discussions adding wisdom, humor and friendship.
I send my deep and personal condolences to Leslie, Paulette and his entire family as I join them in their sorrow and grief.
