Lester Watson

Robert Lester Watson "Shade Tree" passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC after an illness. He was 57 years old.
Lester was born in Cheraw, SC, on August 22, 1966, to the late Robert Burr and Sarah Burr. He was later adopted by Carolyn Watson and the late James Floyd Watson. He was a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, animals, off roading four wheelers, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; wife, Brenda Lee Quick Watson; sons, Chris Watson and wife Ginny, Brandon Watson and wife Shai, and Isaiah Blanton; daughters, Stacey Quick and husband Cameron, Alise Blanton, and Arieanna Blanton; brothers, David Burr and Charles Burr; sisters, Lena Allen, Margaret Snodgrass, and Sue Patoilo and husband Tony; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emersyn, Emmett, Tanner, and 1 on the way; adopted mother listed above; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his biological parents and adopted father listed above; brother, William Burr; grandson, Baby Watson.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Ervin Taylor. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm just prior to the service.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
