Letha Colleen Anderson

In her professional life, Letha served in the medical field as a nurse aide, most notably at St. Luke's Hospital. She also lent her skills to Dr. Cole as an assistant, and later worked for Ramada Inn and Pine Lodge Café in Wellington, Walmart, Pamida, and the Regent Theater. Letha's dedication to her work was paralleled only by her love for her hobbies. A member of the Eastern Star, she loved cooking, growing flowers, singing, and raising chickens and rabbits. A proud and accomplished traveler, Letha also took great pride in being a dedicated family historian, compiling extensive information on her ancestry into a book.

Letha leaves behind her loving daughter, Diana Johnson; her sister, Karreen Moran; her grandsons, Tim and Tyson Johnson; her granddaughter, Darla (David) Coffman; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trystan, Trent, and Scarlet Johnson, Cooper (Anna), Spencer, Anderson, and Miller Coffman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her spirit will live on in them and in all the lives she touched throughout her remarkable life.

Letha was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nina Spencer; her husband, L.E. Anderson; her son, Mike Anderson; her brothers, Loyd, Elmo, and Jerry Spencer; her sisters, Shirley Tovar, Nina Price, and Anita Shull; her son-in-law, Eldon Johnson; and her grandson, Chris Johnson. Their memories are a comfort to those who mourn her passing.

A visitation for Letha will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 1-7PM with family present from 5-7PM at Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas, 67152. Her funeral service will be held at the same location on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
