Letha Clem Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home - Springfield on Dec. 10, 2025.
Letha Jane Clem, age 73, of Springfield, Missouri, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Letha was born on October 24, 1952, in Okeene, Oklahoma to Theodore and Lillie (Eck)
Jantzen. She came to know Christ as her Savior at a young age and sought to live a life that
honored Him. On June 9, 1972, she married Michael E. Clem, and together they shared 53 years
of marriage.
Letha was a 49-year member of Graceway Baptist Church in Springfield, where she faithfully
served in children's Sunday school, choir, women's ministry, nursery, drama, and as church
pianist, deacon's wife, and as vocal soloist. She was known for her gentle spirit, ready smile,
encouraging words, servant's heart, and radiant testimony for Christ. Letha had a special gift for
making others feel seen and loved.
In addition to her church family, Letha poured her life into her own family. She was a devoted
wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and her family will remember her for the
unconditional love that she so freely gave.
Letha is survived by her beloved husband Michael; her daughter Stephanie Sanchez; and her
grandson John Michael Sanchez; her sister Marlene Baldwin; and many other relatives and dear
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Graceway Baptist
Church, Springfield, Missouri. A celebration of her life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church,
with Rev. Robert Stephenson officiating.
We are comforted by the promise of Scripture that "to be absent from the body [is] to be present
with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8), and they rejoice that Letha is now at rest in His presence.
