Letha Mellor Williamson

Letha Mellor Williamson, 89, passed away on July 8, 2025. She was born November 30, 1935 in Fayette, Utah to Warren Rex Mellor and Rachel Peterson Mellor. She married Leon Edgar Williamson (Eddie) February 6, 1960. Together they raised five children and her greatest joy comes from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Letha is a retired Primary Education Teacher serving children and youth for more than 36 years publicly and nearly 70 years through her church service. Through her dedication she loved, influenced and developed thousands of young lives, none more so than her own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Harbert Vinson Williamson (Natalie), Adlai Warren Williamson (Ivie), Rachel Lee Martinez (Tim Beers), Chatt Carlton Williamson (Susan), son-in-law Tracey Sweetring; sisters LaPriel Soderquist (LeRoy) , Greta Mellor and Willma Talbot (Gordon), brother Charles Mellor (Ora May), brothers-in-law Jimmy (Helen), Thomas (Margeret), and Wayne (Karla) Williamson, sister-in-law; Faey Mellor; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; eldest daughter Letha Ann Sweetring; brothers Ashel Mellor, and Hale Mellor (Darla); sisters; Irma Rachel Mellor Sorensen (Bernard), Cora Mellor, and Opal Schriver. All of whom she was excited to reunite with.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Fayette Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel; 99 South 100 East, Fayette, Utah 84630, there will be a viewing prior to services from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the church.
