Lethia Mae Eichelberger, 101 years old, passed away at home on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Born on November 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John M. Eichelberger of Clear Spring, MD, and Nellie (Lapole) Eichelberger, of Sharpsburg, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jack L. Eichelberger; brothers, William, Paul, Kenneth, Kreps, and Earl Eichelberger; sisters, Pauline Johns, Thelma Wigfield, Mildred Roher, Nellie Toston, Dorothy Spessard, and baby Shirley Eichelberger.
Lethia was a lifelong resident of Hagerstown. She was a gifted seamstress, being able to make anything from dresses to drapes just by eye.
She is survived by sisters, Gloria A. Snyder, and Joann Weaver; grandson, Christopher Eichelberger (Tonyia); great granddaughters, Zoe and Mira Eichelberger; nephews, Wilbur Snyder (Suzette), Rick Snyder (Mary Ellen), Mark Snyder (Leanne), Tony Snyder (Veronica), and Scott Snyder (Tiffany).
Inurnment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD, at the convenience of the family.
