Leticia Janicke, a loving and passionate soul, was born on November 1, 1946, in Colima, Mexico, and passed away on May 14, 2023, in Sherwood, Oregon. Born to Daniel Godinez and Isabel Castaneda, Leticia was raised alongside her siblings, Celia, Jorge, Jose Luis, Graciela, Silivia, Ana, and Daniel in the beautiful city of Colima. Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and passion, as she touched the lives of many through her work, hobbies, and unwavering commitment to her family.
Leticia's educational journey began in her hometown, where she attended high school before moving to the United States. She spent her life in various cities in Oregon, including Tigard, Keizer, Forest Grove, Cornelius, and Beaverton. Her determination to succeed and make a better life for herself and her family was evident in every step she took.
For 25 years, Leticia worked tirelessly in the hospitality industry, where her kindness and passion shone brightly. Her dedication to her work was a testament to her strong work ethic and desire to make a positive impact on those around her.
Leticia's interests were as diverse as her personality. As a fitness enthusiast, she held memberships at various gyms and dance studios, and enjoyed a wide range of physical activities, including dancing, walking, hiking, and water sports. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her frequent trips to the beach and ocean, where she would revel in the beauty of nature. In addition, Leticia was a lover of music, singing, crafts, and cooking, and would often share her talents with her family and friends.
Family was the cornerstone of Leticia's life. She was the proud mother of Gale Janicke, Leticia Steele, Elizabeth Bonebrake, and Arlinda Jansen, and cherished her role as a grandmother to Erick Nuno, Vanessa Janicke, Kendrick Janicke, Bradley Janicke, Alexis Steele, Brittney Steele, Calvin Steele, Hunter Jansen, Toby Jansen, and Tyler Jansen; great grandchidren, Landon and Briar. Her love for her family was boundless, and she always made sure to prioritize their happiness and well-being above all else.
Leticia's legacy will forever be remembered through the lives of those she touched with her unwavering love, kindness, and passion. As a motivational speaker might say, "Your life is your message to the world. Make sure it's inspiring." Indeed, Leticia's life was an inspiration to us all, as she demonstrated the importance of living with purpose, love, and a commitment to making the world a better place.
Leticia Janicke's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, as we remember the love, kindness, and passion that she embodied throughout her life.
Let us celebrate Leticia's life by following her example and living our lives with love, kindness, and passion.
