Letitia Barsan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bella Vida Funeral Home on Jan. 19, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we, the family of Letitia Barsan, announce her peaceful passing on January 19, 2026. Known affectionately as "Mica" by those close to her, Letitia was a force of humble resilience and a beacon of unwavering faith.

Born on September 25, 1945, in Gura Arie ului, Romania, Letitia lived a life filled with ambition and wit. Her journey took her from Romania to the United States and finally to Meridian, Idaho, where she made her home. She was a creative soul who loved to cook, draw, paint, and write poems. Her love for writing poetry blossomed into a published book, Stropi de Roua. However, her most significant accomplishment was her unwavering devotion to her faith. As a devout Seventh Day Adventist, she lived her life for God and shared her faith with loved ones, embodying the words of Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Letitia is survived by her daughter, Monica Del Villar with fiancé Dean Chilcote, her son, Mircea Barsan, and her adoring grandchildren, Adrian Coitan, Jessica Nguyen with her husband Chance Glaves, and Melissa Del Villar with fiancé Maika Watanabe. She is also remembered by her sister, Viorica, and family members Florina, Diana, Coca, Dan, Dorina, Cristina, Aurelian, Marius, Daniel, Fanel, Ionel, and other loved ones. Letitia was preceded in death by her late husband Mircea Barsan, her parents, Toader Poleac and Ana Mursa, and her siblings, Minerva, Marioara, Mircea, Anuta, Toader, Matei, Jenica and Caterina.

As we mourn the loss of Letitia, we also celebrate the life she lived and the love she gave. We invite family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Letitia to share memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Your contributions will help keep her spirit alive and provide comfort to all who loved her.
