Letti Wilson

Letti Romi Wilson, age 72, of Rockdale, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will be cherished forever.
Letti was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Mary Alice Green and Richard Thomas Waters, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Leroy Lucas, Davis Allen Waters, and Wilford Martin Waters; her son, Richard Michael Johnson; and her granddaughter, Emily Hacker.
Letti made her home in Rockdale, Texas, where she devoted her life to serving others. She worked as a waitress, home health aide, and X-ray technician, earning the respect and affection of those she cared for. She was known for her fierce and loving heart, her laughter, and her deep devotion to her friends and family. A woman of strong work ethic, she led by example and instilled in her children the values of diligence, perseverance, and integrity.
Beyond her dedication to work and family, Letti had a free-spirited "gypsy soul." She loved to travel, explore new places, and embrace life's adventures whenever she could. Her stories, laughter, and zest for life inspired everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Ann Skaggs and husband Rick; her brothers, Jerry Wayne Lucas and wife Kathy, and Thomas Richard Waters; her son, Jason Wilson and wife Terri; her daughters, Rebecca Webb and husband James, and Michelle Schlottman and husband Heath; her grandchildren, Steven, Lisa, Chris, Brennen, James Jr., Yasmin, Hailey, Jacob, Paul, Kylee, Peanut, Alaura, and Colton; and her great-grandchildren, Levi, Dylan, Isaiah, Raymond, Avah, Troy, and Adeline.
Letti also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her deeply.
Letti will be remembered for her compassion, her sense of humor, her adventurous spirit, and the unwavering love she gave to her family. Though she is no longer with us, her vibrant spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service celebrating Letti's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, 1041 US-79, Rockdale, Texas 76567.
