Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wiley Funeral Home - Granbury from Dec. 7 to Dec. 10, 2025.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leveda June Clark, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born Leveda June Stephens on January 16, 1940, in
Cooper, Texas to Cleo and Mary Stephens. Born 7th out of a total of 10, Leveda grew up with a strong foundation of faith that guided her entire life. She was a dedicated partner in ministry to her loving husband of 66 years, the late Reverend Harold Dean Clark. Together, they served congregations here in Glen Rose and across Texas with humility, grace, and an unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel.
Leveda was a constant presence in the life of the church, known for her gentle spirit, warm hospitality, and tireless work behind the scenes. She played multiple instruments (including playing piano alongside her late son, Kenneth Dean Clark, who would play the guitar), taught Sunday school classes, and opened her home to countless visitors, missionaries, and those in need. She will be most remembered for her beautiful voice and her ability to move crowds with Hymns and Gospels any given Sunday. Her life was a living testimony to the power of faith and the strength found in service to others.
While she dedicated her life to ministry, her greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to 3 children, and a doting grandmother to 8 grandchildren – Sunshine Willis, Michael Keathley, Tanisha Wilson, Brandon Clark (deceased), Allen Clark, Kathryn Clark, Dillon Baker, and Dustin Baker – 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren all of whom brought immense light into her life.
Leveda is survived by her siblings; Loyce Boucher, Bena Green, Doyle Stephens, Carolyn Tome; her children, Daryl Lynn Clark and Sharon Baker; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Reverend Reverend Harold Dean Clark, her parents, siblings, and her grandson, Brandon Clark.
A service to celebrate her remarkable life and homegoing will be held at Wiley Funeral Home, located at 504 Holden Street, Glen Rose, Texas on December 11, 2025, at 2:00p.m., with the Reverend Don Stephens officiating. Leveda will be laid to rest beside her husband, son, and grandson at Squaw Creek Cemetery Glen Rose, Texas.
Leveda will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and boundless love will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched. May she rest in the eternal peace of Christ.
