Levi Dyer Obituary
Levi Franklin Dyer, 77, of Madison passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2009, at Autumn Care Nursing Home.
He was born April 2, 1931, in Madison to the late Jesse Franklin and Nettie Berry Dyer.
Mr. Dyer was retired from Virginia Department of Transportation in Madison with over 20 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted father, husband, Granddaddy and a giving person who will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Dyer, a son, Jimmy Dyer and his wife, Donna, of Madiso; a daughter, Peggy Dunn and her husband, Ted, of Rixeyville, and three grandchildren, Maci and Meagan Dyer, both of Madison, and Kelly Carter of Rixeyville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Estelle Dyer Hurt, Ella Isabele Dyer Seale and Virginia Mae Nicholson; and two brothers, Robert Elwood Dyer and Jesse William Dyer.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Archie Seale officiating. Interment will followe at Criglersville Cemetery.
