Levi Jackson Huston, 32 years of age, died after a tragic accident, Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
He was born in Torrington, Wyoming, on March 12, 1991. Levi graduated from Glenrock High School in 2010. He attended Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington from 2010 to 2012, where he obtained a certification in Welding; thereafter, Levi took his skills to the field to better his expertise.
Dreams of military service were stifled by ankle injuries sustained in his younger years. Nonetheless, he was a patriot and loved his country. Levi loved being a mechanic and spent most of his career in oilfield related occupations. He was passionate about hunting and fishing, but especially found joy in creating machines that he could test drive and find fault in, sometimes at the expense of his self.
Levi is survived by his mother, Cori Wondercheck; step-father, Frank Hill; his brother, Jessy Huston; and, his son, Jackson Dale Wondercheck. Jax was the light of Levi’s life, whom he lived for and spoke of all the time.
Levi is further survived by his girlfriend, Cassandra Roumsfeld; maternal grandparents, Dale and Cheryl Wondercheck; his uncles, Tony Wondercheck and Tracy (and Danielle) Wondercheck; his father, Jack Huston; his paternal grandmother, Alma Slane; step-brothers, Clell Cain, Kenny Harvey, Kyle (and Kyra) Dyke, and Kody Hill; step-sisters, Haeley Hill and Teanna Hill; numerous extended family members; and, a long list of “family,” who were not related by blood.
Levi’s paternal grandfather, Walter Slane, preceded Levi in death (2014).
His contagious laugh, pure and heartfelt, could be heard from afar. Levi will be remembered for his good nature, positivity, and kindness. He always greeted you with a big smile and a hug. He was a rock - whenever anyone needed an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on, Levi was there. A huge chasm is left in our hearts. Levi will be terribly missed.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sat. June 17, 2023 at the Glenrock Town Park. Terri Davis will officiate.
