Lewis Edward Crow Sr.

Lewis Edward Crow Sr., a beloved figure whose life was marked by dedication to family and country passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on January 21, 1936, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Lewis spent his early years fostering a strong sense of purpose that would carry him throughout his life.

Lewis proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring after an esteemed career that spanned two decades and took him to 27 countries around the world. His military service instilled in him a devotion to duty and a spirit of adventure that formed both his personal and professional life.  He was known by his comrades as a "Man's Man".

After his military career, Lewis became known for his expertise in industrial sewing machine repair at Rushin Upholstery. His strong work ethic and problem-solving skills made him a trusted resource for many in his family. Friends and family knew him as a generous man always ready to lend a helping hand or offer sage advice—be it about finances or small engines.

A devoted family man, Lewis's family was his proudest accomplishment. He is mourned by his loving children, Connie Skipper (Roger), Tammy Busken (Gerry), and Eddie Crow (Laura). His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren: Lindsey Wilkinson, Daniel Skipper, Kelsey Khan, Aaron Crow, Lewis Crow III, Grace Crow, and Mary Crow, along with seven cherished great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lewis was a man of many interests, finding joy in hunting, fishing, working in his shop, and gardening, always taking time to appreciate the simple pleasures of life. He had a strong and positive personality, often reminding those around him that “If you can't change it, it is what it is.” His sociable nature and willingness to connect with others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Crow, and his grandson, Andrew Busken. They, along with Lewis's vibrant spirit, will forever be missed by those who continue to carry his memory in their hearts.

A visitation will be held in his honor at the Smith Little Rock Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas, on December 2, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. He will be remembered as a strong, dedicated man whose life was a testament to love, service, and family values.  Internment will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on December 8th at 12 noon.
