Lewis Alan Dresselhouse, November 15, 1986-October 3, 2025
Lewis Alan Dresselhouse, age 38, of San Diego (formerly of the metro Detroit area), passed away on October 3, 2025.
Born November 15, 1986 in Royal Oak, Michigan, Lew was a ray of sunshine when he walked into the room with his infectious smile and personality that made everyone that he came in contact with feel heard and loved- whether a family member, friend, or even a stranger off the street.
Lew loved his job as a bartender because it gave him an opportunity to connect and socialize which was an atmosphere that he thrived in. He also loved running, swimming, shooting hoops, movies, Tool concerts, and a medium rare cooked steak.
Life was not about material things for Lew. It was about people. If you had the chance to be around him you knew that deep down he was a loving and caring son, brother, and friend.
Lewis is survived by his beloved mother, Joan Dresselhouse and father, Mark Dresselhouse (Sabina Dresselhouse).
He was the loving brother of Angela (Chuck) Ward, Trista (Steven) Holmes, Joseph Dresselhouse, Casey (Athena) Dresselhouse, and Jillian Dresselhouse. He was also an uncle to Taylor Ward, Hunter Ward, Rayne Ward, Cameron Monroe, Ellianna Roerink, Emelia Dresselhouse, and Evelyn Dresselhouse.
Visitation for Lewis will be held on Wednesday, October 15, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, 1:45 p.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (four blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak. Burial will immediately follow at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak. Share your memories at www.sullivanfuneraldirectors.com.
