Lewis G. Duncan, age 94, of Wakeman died on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Born April 30, 1931 to the late Clyde and Lucy (Heyhurst) Duncan, he was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. After his time in the Army, he worked for Ford until his retirement.
An avid outdoorsman, Lewis was the president of the Sportsman Gun and Reel Club for many years and a member of the Izaak Walton League. He enjoyed duck and rabbit hunting as well as archery and trap shooting. A true family man, he cherished the time that he spent with those he loved most and would often include his family in his outdoor adventures.
Survivors include his children, Laura Jimenez, Pearlean Kennell, and Lewis Duncan Jr.; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his beloved wife Laura (Leach) Duncan; a daughter, Mary Adkins; son, Thomas Duncan; grandsons Antonio Jimenez and Andrew Duncan Mate; sister Juanita Crow; and brother, Robert Duncan.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery with full military honors.
