Lewis Ronald Noblitt
Liberty, SC
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lewis Ronald Noblitt, aged 84, who departed this life on October 8, 2025, in Pickens, South Carolina. Born on September 19, 1941, in Easley, South Carolina, he was the widower of Betty Lou Major Noblitt and a son of the late Lewis Clensil and Glator Couch Noblitt. Lewis led a life characterized by dedication to both his family and his country.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Lewis enlisted on July 27, 1960, and served honorably until his discharge on August 1, 1962, achieving the rank of Seaman. After his military service, he made a significant contribution to the manufacturing industry working for 20 years at Saco Lowell in Easley as a machine operator, and later at General Electric, where he retired after 16 additional years. His work ethic and commitment left a lasting legacy among his coworkers and friends.
Above all, Lewis cherished his family. He is survived by his daughters, Ann Marie Cockrell (David) and Donna Bishop; sons, Ron Noblitt and Waylon Noblitt; and brothers, Jerry and Gary Noblitt. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Tori and Erin Cockrell, who brought him great joy and pride.
He was a man of simple pleasures, finding happiness in time spent with family and friends. His warmth, kindness, and steadfastness will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 until 11:30 AM at the mortuary. Burial with military honors will follow where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating his remarkable life and honoring his memory.
