Ronald M. "Runt" Stancil

Liberty, SC

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Melvin "Runt" Stancil, born on May 6, 1956, in Anderson, South Carolina. He left this world peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 69. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who remember him as a warm-hearted soul with a passion for life.

Ronald was a man who found joy in the simple things. He loved to hunt and fish, often spending his days surrounded by the great outdoors that he cherished so much. He was skilled in his work as a brick mason for many years, shaping not just bricks, but building lasting memories with those around him.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Gretta Hawkins (Anthony) and Grace Hedden, and his brother, David Cook, who will carry his spirit in their hearts forever. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Martha Smith Stancil.

His wish was to be cremated. No formal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages all to share a kind word or a favorite memory of Ronald, as he would have loved nothing more than knowing his spirit continues to live on through the lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Ronald. You will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
