A beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Lia Zandstra, 36, of Woonsocket passed peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital following a brief illness. She was the cherished daughter of her devoted mother, Biagina Valle, of Woonsocket and the late Jeffery Litchenstien. She is survived by her dear brother, Matthew J. Valle, of Delray, FL, and by many relatives and friends by whom she will be sorely missed.
In addition to being a loving daughter and sister, Lia was a most kind and generous woman with an infectious laugh which endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Although small in stature (4'11', to be exact) she had a huge heart, vibrant spirt, and extremely outgoing personality. Expressive and animated, her beautiful glow brought light to everyone and to those in the darkest of corners.
She thoroughly enjoyed her professional bartending career serving guests in several Florida establishments in the Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and surrounding area. She loved to cook since she was a little girl, she was a gourmet cook and truly loved fine dining. When not on duty, she engaged in video gaming, especially Star Wars, Poke Mon, and the like an avid pool player, she listened to heavy metal music with Metallica being her favorite band. Truly a Christian woman, she regularly worshipped at Trinity Church in Woonsocket.
Services for Lia have been entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home and will be private

Lia was truly one of a kind. Not the general one of a kind cheesy sayings but the unexpected movie quotes, unexpected music genre recommendations, sushi loving, and hilarious souls that you literally can´t find in many people it´s a once in a lifetime experience and I´m convinced I´ll never find a combo such as her in another soul period. We often were found in our own worlds together yelling across work in our accents and laughing until our sides hurt at any place we went together. She was the sweetest person that you could count on at any given moment even when her world was crashing down she´d fix yours. I´m devastated that I no longer have my "sister from another mister" and often find myself reaching for the phone but have to remind myself that she is in comfort with the Lord. I´ll forever miss her contagious laugh. I love you WIFE!! Thank you for always reminding me that I´m good enough! You were always a light in everyone´s life. Truly blessed to have had you. <3

When you talk about the kind of people you only get lucky to meet once, Lia was one of those people. She may have only been 4´11" but her personality was 6´7". Her generosity was enormous. If she cared about you she´d give you anything and everything she has. One of the most expressive and animated personalities I´ve ever met. It was almost like she was a cartoon character. There wasn´t a single emotion that her face couldn´t show perfectly. Her eyes were so full of wonder and excitement. It was like everything was so new and interesting. She loved intensely. The kind of love some are never lucky enough to experience. The kind you can´t stop thinking about if you lose it. She had the cutest little dance when she was happy or eating. A laugh that lit up a room and was infectious. Music moved her so much. Even while getting chemo she went to metal concerts. She never let anything hold her back. Pokemon was probably her next love behind music. She hunted for days and nights for the cards she wanted. She pulled a card she wanted so bad on her birthday one year. She ran around the house so exited I thought she was going to run into a wall. I took her down the battlefield every single night. I had to make sure she got what she needed for her PokemonGo. She´d hunt for Pokemon for hours. When she was into star wars I made sure she made it to Disney. Even though it poured rain when we first got there she had a blast at galaxy´s edge. She loved going out and doing stuff like that. She touched everyone she met. The world is definitely darker missing the light of that woman.

A beautiful and loving young woman who was positive sunshine for all lucky enough to have known her. Her fabulous mother, brother and others need to be supported during this challenging time.

She loved her family, and especially her mother, who she leaned on during her illness. She allowed me to pray for her several times. She knew she needed GOD during this rough time in her life. May GOD bless your family during this time of mourning.
