Liam Hallissey Obituary
Liam Francis Hallissey, born September 23, 2024, became one of God's Angels Saturday, December 20, 2025. Liam was the beloved son of Mícheál Francis Hallissey and Kate (Passero) Hallissey and little brother to Maeve, Órla and Seán.
Liam was a cherished baby boy whose short life was filled with love, joy, and light. From the day he was born, he immediately captured the hearts of his family changing their lives forever. Curious, brave, and full of wonder, Liam loved to explore-climbing, walking, and doing his very best to keep up with his big siblings, Maeve, Seán and Órla, who adored him and cared for him so lovingly. His days were filled with happy dances, peekaboo, and the sweetest giggles. He brought smiles to everyone around him-especially when he waited at the door to greet his daddy after work or give his mommy big hugs and kisses. Liam completed his family in the most beautiful way, filling their home with laughter and an immeasurable sense of joy. Forever their darling boy and forever young, Liam will always be their sunshine and North Star.
In addition to his loving and heartbroken parents and siblings, Liam will be sadly missed by his Maternal grandparents, John and Loraine Passero of Barnegat, NJ and formerly of Midland Park, NJ; paternal grandparents, Charlie Hallissey and Nora Hallissey of Cappaganeen, Beaufort, Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland; adoring aunts and uncles, John Passero and his wife Montana and their children Lilliana and Nico, Michelle Cusick and her husband Tom and their children Hadley and Colson, Jenna Passero, Nicole Passero and Ben Schierloh, Padraig Hallissey and Sarah Houlihan, Fergal Hallissey and Marie Neville and Great Grandnana Joan Foley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 29th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church ,834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. A live stream is available on the St. Pius website https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC23Bnvkj9rXL0_EJ8RDhwBw. A wake for Liam will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Liam's memory may be made to: The Make A Wish Foundation of CT. https://wish.org/ct

Though we have never met, I felt compelled to reach out and share my deepest condolences. There are no words to truly describe how unfair and heartbreaking it is to lose a child. My family experienced this over 45 years ago. Please know that even though I didn't have the privilege of knowing Liam, I am thinking of you and mourning the loss of such a special soul.
Wishing you strength and peace during this unimaginably difficult time.
