Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Licwov, age 80 years, a resident of Beverly, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by family, after a lengthy illness at home and a short stay at Lavender Fields Assisted Living in Beverly under the care of West Virginia Caring Hospice. She was born November 10, 1944 at East Dailey, a daughter of the late Lester J. Kyle, Sr. and Mary Ola Ware Kyle. On October 11, 1963 at Valley Bend, she was married to Clarence W. Licwov, Jr. who preceded her death June 10, 2024. She is survived by one son, Vincent W. Licwov (Christa) of Beverly; and two daughters, Vanessa M. Licwov-Channell (Mitch) of Reedsville, WV and Julie A. Phillips (Bill) of Beverly. Also surviving are two brothers, James M. Kyle a resident of Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center and Lester Johnson Kyle, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Allison Channell (Aaron) of Beverly, Madison Carr (Hunter) of Valley Bend, Casey and Shane Martel of Morgantown, Connor Channell of Reedsville, Logan and Mason Phillips of Beverly, and great grandchildren, Elliott Channell of Beverly, Kenley, Jaxon, Hadlie, and Mylah Carr of Valley Bend. Also preceding her in death were one brother, Timothy Kyle and six sisters, Retha Welch, Darlene Lewis, Maureen Vandevander, Alice Gladfelter, Phyllis Wildman and Lorraine Pritt. Libby was a graduate of Beverly High School, had worked at Beverly Fastbreak before being employed as a sales associate at Wal-Mart prior to her retirement. She was also a homemaker and had formally been active with the PTA and Randolph County 4H. Libby's greatest love was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and would go to great lengths to provide the love, care, and support each one needed. When not caring for her loved ones, Libby found joy in tending her flower garden, and nothing pleased her more than mowing her yard. She also had a soft spot for animals-Libby never met a stray cat she didn't try to rescue and rehome. She was a protestant by faith.
Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
