Liborio Gomez-Silva Obituary
Liborio Gomez-Silva, age 89 of Magnolia, formerly of Camden and Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 16, 2022.
He is the beloved husband of 56 years to Diana (nee Martinez); devoted father of Norma Gomez, Maria "Angie" Gomez, Minnie Martinez (Lou), Robert Gomez (Maggie), Juan Pablo Gomez, Evelyn Gomez, and the late Wanda "Lissy" Gomez; loving grandfather of Melissa, Andrew, Michael, Timothy, Angela, Mariah, Deanna, Donovan, Jayden and Amaris; great grandfather of 8 and great great grandfather of 1.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Gomez was head chef at Cinnaminson Manor for over 25 years. He retired to the mountains of Puerto Rico where he could pursue his love of farming. He loved to tend to the cows on the farm; and enjoyed watching professional wrestling and a Budweiser. Above all, he cherished his family and was always there for anything they needed.
At the request of the family, all services are being handled privately.

There is so much to remember about Liborio. Liborio was a true legacy through his actions and his past. His empowering and inspiring stories blossomed pure curiosity and love for him. But most of all, I will always remember his heart of gold and his love for his family. No matter the circumstance, Liborio would do whatever he could to assure that his family was taken care of. The best qualities of Liborio were his generosity, respect, love, and genuineness is what made Liborio so special. If I could, I would thank him for everything he has done. Rest in peace abuelo!

A favorite memory I have with Liborio was when he proudly served us delicious and savory pasta. As a former chef and proud Puerto Rican, the meal was served with love and passion. Thank you Liborio!
