LiDarrell DaQuarius Darrice Cheeks was born, on February 9, 1994, to Jacqueline Chapman Williams and Darrel Earle Cheeks, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County schools and attended Dorman High School. He later gained employment with Condustrial Inc., where he worked diligently.

LiDarrell was known for his warm spirit, his easy-going nature, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He loved to smile, joke, and spend time enjoying life, especially playing basketball. His presence was one that naturally lifted others, and his personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Patsy Chapman; paternal grandmother, Nettie Miller; maternal grandfather, Thomas Prysock; maternal great grandmother, Lunnette Moore; and aunts, Sabrina Cheeks and Carolyn Canty.

Left to cherish his life are his wife, Lula Smith Cheeks of the home; mother, Jacqueline (James) Chapman Williams of Spartanburg, SC; father, Darrell Earle Cheeks of Spartanburg, SC; children, Da Quasia Cheeks, Darrice Cheeks, Ta”Laysia Cheeks, and Odasi Cheeks all of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Dondrell Cheeks, Aretha Burris, Morrell Mack, Raekeria Pearson, DaQuavius Cheeks, Darry’ell Cheeks, Darryon Cheeks, and Jamesia Williams, all of Spartanburg, SC and Zephaniah Goodwin and Hezekiah Goodwin, both of Indiana; grandparents, Bobby Cheek, Sr. and Charles E. Dukes both of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Isha Chapman of Spartanburg, SC, Jewel (Terry) Ofair of Chesnee, SC Tracy Phillips and Emeah Powell both of Gaffney, SC, and Keisha Cheeks of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, Cedrick Lyles of Spartanburg, SC, Rod Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC, Quinton Moseley of Spartanburg, SC, Paul (Renea) Foster of Boiling Springs, SC, and Craig (Kim) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; bestfriend, Andrell “Man” Wright; great uncles, Javan Moore and Arthur Moore; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

LiDarrell transitioned on Monday, March 23, 2026 Though his time here was brief, the love he gave and the memoires he created will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
