Lidia Ayala sadly passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30 2023 in her home, surrounded by her family. Lidia lived a full life in her 90 years on this earth. She was born on April 13 1932 to Leonardo and Petra Barco in Lytle, Texas. She was married on December 1, 1951 to the love of her life, Roman Ayala. They had 8 children together. Lidia loved her extended family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews dearly with all her heart. She always had a smile on her face when she was with family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, dancing, gardening and listening to conjunto music.
She was preceded in death by her brother Dagoberto Barco, her brother Eleazar Barco, her son Jorge Luis Ayala, her parents Leonardo and Petra Barco, and her husband Roman Ayala. She is survived by her brother Reynaldo Barco and his wife Maria Elena Barco, sister Odilia Moreno, brother Juan Manuel Barco and his wife Norma Barco, sister Marisela Chapa, sister Elva Graciela Zúñiga, sister Noemi Christina Martinez and her husband Jose Martinez, son Jorge Luis Ayala and wife Kim Ayala, son Fernando Ayala and wife Carmen Ayala, daughter Hilda Rios and husband Fred Rios, son Hector Ayala and Laura Hernandez, son Lionel Ayala and wife Juanita Ayala, son Ruben Ayala and wife Brenda Ayala, daughter Delia Ayala and husband James Casares, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many.
A visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary Monday, December 11, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Allen Mortuary Tuesday, December 12, at 10:00 am. There will be a graveside service at Pioneer Cemetery in Modesto following the service.
