Bruce Allen Brown
February 14, 1939 – October 23, 2025

Bruce was raised in Ceres, California and graduated from Ceres High School. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart Patricia "Patti" in 1959. They were married 61 wonderful years. Soon after they were married, they moved to San Jose where he learned his trade of electrician. He was a very hard worker and when they returned to the central valley he began his own company, Modesto Electric which he owned for over 30 years. He would work all day as an electrician and then spend the evenings farming his 80 acres of land they owned. After he retired from electrical work he worked in maintenance for Modesto Christian School. In addition to his work, he grew hydroponic tomatoes and sold them at Modesto Farmers Market for over 20 years. Bruce and Patti were longtime members of Neighborhood Church in Modesto.

Bruce's hobbies included gardening and woodworking in his shop where he made wooden toys. His grandchildren fondly remember helping him with his garden; it was called "Grandkids Garden" and they could earn money by helping him grow vegetables to sell at the farmer's market.

He is survived by his children Jeffrey (Kimberly) Brown, Sherri (Dennis) Schaurer; siblings Raymond Brown and Sandy Dunn; grandchildren Craig (Sonia) Schaurer, Nathan (Stacy) Schaurer, Christopher Brown, Aaron (Brittni) Brown, Bethany (Josiah) Enas, Natalie Brown and Stephanie Brown; great grandchildren Andre Schaurer, Eleanor Schaurer, Genevieve Schaurer, Grayden Enas, Sawyer Brown, Theodore Schaurer and Madelyn Enas. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Perle and Martha Brown; wife Patti Brown and sister Arlene Skinner.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00-7:00p.m. A graveside service will be at Lakewood Memorial Park on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00a.m. There will be a celebration of life service at Neighborhood Church in Modesto on Thursday, October 30 at 11:30 am.
